Bogdan Perevertun

Franсoise Oz defines the language of her works as a system of signs and symbols: “All our works are imbued with irony. Postmodern irony. They cannot be taken literally. The images in our works are signs through which we communicate with the viewer. They have to be read. For example, Bogdan's collages made of Styrofoam are not linear: they can be read from bottom to top, from top to bottom, in different directions, sequences, combinations”.

Their work is constructed from “building material” thrown by the mental sea onto the surface of consciousness. These elements are transformed into black and white works, austere yet filled with irony, serving as a commentary on reality. Irony for them is not just an inversion of the mind, but a profound defense mechanism, a reaction to the ugliness of the world around them. It is the weapon of those for whom sensitivity is an integral part of their profession.
