Female madness
Female madness
Exhibition Dates: 04 Mar 2013 - 04 Apr 2013
At the beginning of the 20th century, Clara Zetkin proposed the establishment of International Women’s Day — a day for women to organize rallies and marches, drawing public attention to their issues.
A century has passed, yet the need for such a day remains. Women still require a space to openly share their experiences and make their voices heard.
Women won’t stay silent. They’ll speak out about what truly matters — and they’ll do it in an ironic, naive, and deliberately “feminine” style. This approach in no way diminishes the seriousness of the issues raised or undermines their depth.
This is Female Madness. It’s our way of overcoming challenges while keeping a sense of humor, and of finding beauty and aesthetics in the questions that move us.
