Natasha's tales
Natasha's tales
Exhibition Dates: 01 Oct 2013 - 31 Oct 2013
I was born in Odessa. I spent my entire childhood and youth in the very CENTER, on Deribasovskaya 12, opposite the Opera House. My home was a huge room with high ceilings in a cheerful and creepy communal house for 7 families. My mother was one of the few mannequins, a fantastically beautiful female engineer, my father a sailor musician. I studied in the most CENTRAL school #9 (now the 2nd gymnasium) on Havannaya, my childhood was spent backstage at the Soviet catwalk (mom) and in the casino of a cruise ship (dad). Walked alone wherever she wanted, exploredthe old city - passable courtyards, rooftops, staircases. Since then it's been the habit of calling the streets “old” style “Soviet-style”. Thanks to my mother, she encouraged my passion for drawing from childhood. True, I was going to become a fashion designer, but my categorical inability to hold a needle and thread in my hands forced me to enroll in the most wretched department of arts and crafts (arts and crafts) at the Art School.
