On April 17, Odesa's HudPromo gallery will host the opening of the project Excursion by the author of Ya Gallery Art Center - master of abstract painting Igor Yanovich. Full immersion in the artist's work will be facilitated by the exposition format stated in the title: the exhibition will present selected works from the best projects of Yanovich over the past few years, as well as completely new works.
Each of the works demonstrates the main leitmotif of Janowicz's work as a researcher of the transformation of matter in time and space. The impetus for the Matter (2007) project was a quote from an old school textbook about the mutual transformation of matter, which made the artist state the inseparable unity of the world of nature (matter) and the world of consciousness. The author continued the study of their interaction in the project Subjective Space (2011). While the Context project (2009, 2011, 2012) showed the result of the artist's experiment with placing abstract paintings in the unusual urban environment of Kyiv, Lviv and the ghost town of Pripyat.
