Here's a strange situation: whenever the art market is discussed in the space, the participants in the conversation feel a certain awkwardness. It seems that in a conversation about the “high”, i.e. art, one cannot mention the “low”, i.e. money.

But let's agree: a gallery is first and foremost a unit of the art business. It's not just a museum, a residence, an exhibition hall or a purchasing committee. A gallery is an integral part of the artistic process, without which this process is unthinkable. However, existing in spite of the circumstances, the gallery has to remind everyone - and itself in particular - of its basic, original function.
