As the Omicron virus continues to spread across the United States, both NBC’s late-night talk show hosts Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon have announced that they have tested positive for COVID-19.

“The bad news is that I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!”) Myers said. in a tweet Monday. “The good news is I’m fine (thanks to the vaccinations and the booster!).”

Myers said the network has canceled the rest of the shows scheduled from Tuesday to Friday.

Tune in next Monday to see what a great site we will try to showcase as a studio!!! Myers added.

News of Myers’ positive case comes the next day Tonight Show Host Jimmy Fallon announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus just before Christmas.

In his latest Instagram post, Fallon, who appears to have recovered, said he had received a COVID-19 vaccine and a booster shot – and had only mild symptoms.

“Thank you to the doctors and nurses who work hard around the clock to spoil everyone,” Fallon wrote. Thanks to NBC for taking audition protocols so seriously and doing a great job – and also thanks for putting me on ‘What ‘chu talkin’ about Willis? “Isolation room when they told me the news.”

Other celebrities who have recently tested positive for coronavirus include Whoopi Goldberg, Hugh Jackman, Debra Messing and LL Cole J.

The United States reported a new record 1,082,549 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University that may include numbers from the weekend. The average daily infection rate over seven days is currently 480,273.
