The 7 Best Places to Stake Cosmos (ATOM)
Written by publisher team

Staking crypto is a very popular way to earn income passively with your crypto money. You can bet a variety of coins to win bonuses, including Cosmos (ATOM), and there are a number of different platforms that allow you to do so. But what is the best ATOM caching platform? Well, here are some of the best places where you can share your ATOM.

1. Atomic wallet

Atomic Wallet allows users to store their private keys to their encrypted money online. While this is what it is generally known as, you can also share your crypto money via your desktop or smartphone using Atomic Wallet.

Currently, ATOM offers staking rewards ranging from 7% to 11%. You will only need 1 ATOM to start storing with the Atomic Wallet, which is about $37 at the moment (although this price is subject to changes daily). You can also find a staking calculator on the Cosmos website that lets you know how much you will earn in rewards depending on how much ATOM you decide to participate in.

It is important to note that Atomic Wallet charges a network fee for caching, but this fee changes depending on network load or traffic. Furthermore, your funds will be locked for the duration of the storage period, and it will take 21 days for your funds to be released if you decide that you no longer wish to share your funds during the storage period.

Binance has become one of the most popular cryptocurrency exchanges in the world over the past few years, but it’s not only great for buying and selling cryptocurrencies. You can bet a variety of different tokens using Binance, including Cosmos.

To get started with ATOM staking on Binance, you will need at least 0.5 ATOM in your wallet, which makes ATOM staking via Binance an affordable option for most people.

Binance currently offers a return of between 1.5% and 3% when you stake your ATOM, and as with all other tokens, Binance does not charge any fees for purchasing this coin. Although these reward rates may seem low compared to other platforms, Binance’s reputation and lack of staking fees still make it a viable and trustworthy option to cash out your ATOM.

3. Kraken

Kraken is another example of a globally popular crypto exchange that allows you to participate in a number of popular tokens, including Cosmos. Currently, you can earn 7.5% annual rewards from your ATOM share on Kraken.

Fortunately, Kraken does not lock up your money if you choose to participate in the ATOM as it does with some other coins, keeping it within reach even when it is in storage. Kraken also does not charge any fees for staking or un-staking. But note that you will need some ATOM in your Kraken wallet before you can start staking, as with most staking platforms and exchanges.

4. Ledger wallet

Unlike any other platform mentioned here, Ledger is not completely virtual. The set of cryptocurrency wallets in the ledger are all physical and are known as hardware wallets. However, you can still bet on ATOM using your Ledger wallet. This allows for higher levels of security, since hardware wallets store private keys offline, unlike software wallets, which makes them impervious to cyberattacks and server failures. So how does staking ledger work?

When caching via the ledger, you delegate your ATOM funds to a validator for a specified period. You cannot then transfer or use the ATOM being delegated, although you can de-authorize the ATOM if you wish to opt out of the caching process. It will take about three weeks for the unauthorized ATOM to be unlocked after you confirm that you want to stop caching.

You can share your Cosmos account using an external wallet, such as Lunie or Cosmostation. However, you can also use Ledger’s sharing platform. To do this, you will need to download Ledger Live. This is the application that you can download on your desktop or smartphone for free, with which you can manage and fight against your cryptocurrency.

By storing your ATOM via your Ledger wallet, you can earn rewards of between 8% and 10%, which is quite good compared to some other platforms. Besides the increased security that Ledger offers, it is definitely a great option for hoarding your Cosmos funds.

5. Confidence in the wallet

Trust Wallet provides a trustworthy and easy-to-use software wallet for buying, exchanging and storing crypto funds. Moreover, you can share ATOM using Trust Wallet on your desktop or smartphone. But why choose Trust Wallet?

Firstly, Trust Wallet is one of the most secure and reliable software wallets, so you don’t have to worry about your money being lost or stolen. Second, the minimum amount of ATOM required to bet it is very low with Trust Wallet. With only 0.01 ATOM in your wallet, you can get started.

Since staking with Trust Wallet is done by delegating your funds to an authenticator, said funds will be locked for the duration of storage. However, you can earn rewards of up to 10% by accumulating your ATOM with Trust Wallet, which can make way for some health rewards.

6. Coinbase

Cosmos currently offers 5% rewards for your ATOM stack through their exchange, which is fairly average when it comes to Cosmos rewards rewards across the board. You will either need to buy 1 ATOM via Coinbase or deposit the same amount into your Coinbase wallet before you can start staking, Coinbase charges a 5% fee for staking, which is deducted from your rewards. So, if you are looking to avoid storage fees entirely, it may be worth checking out some of the other platforms listed here.

7. Look at Wallet

Although Guarda is mostly used as a software crypto wallet, you can also use it to share your ATOM. Guarda currently offers a healthy 9% reward rate for purchasing Cosmos, although you can use their website to calculate how much you can earn from accumulating the amount you want from ATOM. This calculator will show you both the monthly and annual bonuses you can earn, as well as the current value of your ATOM money in USD.

You will need a minimum of 1 ATOM to bet with Guarda using either desktop or smartphone via the free Guarda app. It is very easy to get started with staking, and you can also check out some of the other great features that this software wallet offers, such as the ability to store a wide range of different tokens and exchange your ATOM.

Stacking your own ATOM is easy and rewarding

By using any of the above mentioned platforms, you can start ATOM staking in no time and earn staking rewards on daily, monthly or yearly basis. With low minimum requirements and little or no fees, ATOM staking is almost a no-brainer if you want to earn a little passive income with your Cosmos money.
