Top 10 contemporary artists of Odessa
Exhibition Dates: 30 Oct 2010 - 30 Nov 2010
I am pleased to inform you that a new contemporary art gallery is opening in Odesa - HudPromo.
The gallery will work with the most interesting artists of Odesa, both with already well-known masters and young promising artists in whom we sincerely believe. The proof of this is our first project “Top 10 Contemporary Odesa Artists”.
This “big ten” includes both the classics of the Odesa transavant-garde, who came to contemporary art in the eighties of the XX century, such as Alexander Roytburd and Vasily Ryabchenko, and the legends of the nineties - Anatoly Gankevich, Igor Gusev, Dmitry Dulfan, Sergei Zarva, Vladimir Kozhukhar. The list also includes artists who have discovered themselves relatively recently, such as Katya Solovyova, and the stars of the noughties, Arl315 and Stepan Ryabchenko.
Of course, the list of our artists is not limited to these names, nor is it limited to the Odesa school. We plan to introduce contemporary Ukrainian and foreign art to the Odesa audience.
The catalog you are holding in your hands contains not only information about the artists participating in the project. It opens with an essay about the century-long history of the Odesa artistic avant-garde. I believe that the HoodPromo gallery will write its own pages in this history, worthy of the glory of our great predecessors.
I am confident that our project is doomed to success because the team of like-minded people involved in its creation and the artists who believed in us put their hearts and souls into it.
We promise our friends and viewers to show contemporary art of the highest class. I hope they will share our love of art and passion for collecting.
